Playwell United drew 2-2 at home with Birchwood Park FC in a Premier Division local derby on Saturday that will leave a few what-ifs lingering.
Dean Ashworth scored twice to put the lads in front twice, only for Birchwood Park to level on 84 minutes from the penalty spot and share the points.

The lads started brightly and had their reward in the ninth minute when Karl Neville picked out Ashworth, who scored with a powerful first-time finish into the top-right-hand corner to make it 1-0. Going in front early took the edge off and allowed the game to find its own rhythm.

I coached the team, built the website and wrote the reports. MatchDesk came from doing all three.
I’m Stewart Alexander. I’ve coached in school, club and international football since 2009, including the Cayman Islands U17 girls’ national team. I have managed women’s teams, built a club website and handled its digital media and match reporting.
That experience showed me the problem from both sides. When the football was finished, the report was still waiting. I built MatchDesk so managers, coaches and volunteers can turn the match details still fresh in their minds into a report they can check and publish before leaving the ground.

Questions before you create your first report?
Is it really free to try?+
Yes. Your first three reports are free, and no credit card is required. If you do not upgrade, any reports you have already published stay live.
How much typing do I have to do?+
Very little. Set up your club and squad once, then choose the score, scorers and key moments from saved options. Type only when you want to add something specific.
Do I approve everything before it is published?+
Yes. MatchDesk prepares your report, manager reaction and social posts, but nothing is published until you have checked it.
Can I use MatchDesk with our existing club website?+
Yes. Publish on MatchDesk, copy the report to your existing website or club platform, or do both.
Which plan is right for my club?+
Start with Free. Club covers up to five teams and 30 reports a month, or 360 a year. Unlimited is for larger clubs and academies that need more teams or unlimited reports. One account can cover the whole club.
Can youth teams use MatchDesk?+
Yes, from U12s upwards. MatchDesk includes youth-safe display names and publishing safeguards. Your club remains responsible for consent before publishing names, photos or match details.
Can I change or cancel my plan later?+
Yes. You can change plans or turn off renewal through your billing settings. Monthly plans run month to month. Annual plans cover a full year. If you turn off renewal, you keep access until the paid year ends and will not be charged for another year.
